iPhone 5 iOS 9 Push Notifications Stopped Working

About a week ago, my iPhone stopped sending pushing notifications for all of my apps except Facebook, Phone and Messages. I've stopped receiving regular notifications form 10 different news apps, GMail, and Amazon (I failed to receive order updates during that period).

I have an iPhone 5, iO9 9.3.2. Nothing of any particular regard occurred other than normal usage when the notifications stopped working. I've tried restarting the phone a few times. After several days, I realize there was an update to iOS 9.3.3. but the update hasn't fixed anything. All notification settings for the aforementioned apps are currently on.

Any suggestions?

You and I have the same phone, same iOS. Was wondering, when you realized there was the iOS update, did you see that via a notification or badge on Settings, or did you just happen to look inside Settings-General? Reading your post made me look, and I saw it there, ready to download and install, but no red badge on the Settings icon. I do get badges/notifications still for phone, messages, and gmail, but I just now realized everything else has gone quiet.

How long have you had your phone? I've had mine around two years or so. Perhaps its time to upgrade phones if this is going to continue?:brickwall:

I had to look for it, although I did know it was there, hearing about it through the ether.

I've had my phone for nearly three years. I still get all my notifications from Facebook (and Facebook Messenger, come to think of it), but nothing else.

If this is a ploy by Apple to get me to upgrade, they're shooting themselves in the foot. I already decided some time ago to switch to another phone (probably Samsung).

My 4S and 6S are still sending notifications fine, must be a setting you changed on yours.

Edit: Both were updated from 9.3.2 to 9.3.3 earlier today.

But the problem is I didn't change any settings. I simply stopped receiving notifications. As I mentioned in the original post, notifications are turned on for the apps I want but I'm not getting them anymore.

Stranger still, I am now getting notifications again with GMail and New York Times, but nothing else.

Well then I don't know. All of mine are sending them fine, I can find no articles mentioning it being a widespread problem right now.
