'Ion' is a Sci-Fi dimension-hopping romance

Channing Tatum is attached to star in what is labeled a sci-fi romantic epic, with Ridley and Tony Scott attached to produce

Tatum will play a man who travels to different alternate Earths, crossing dimensions, to find "his reincarnated lover." It sounds a bit daffy.
The transdimensional love story Hollywood rejected will be a movie after all, with Channing Tatum
The script is currently being shopped around to studios, with Fox 2000 already making an offer.

The script comes from newcomer Will Dunn, who hadn't sold any scripts until Scott Free picked up Ion and worked on it with him.

It's been mentioned that Avatar had a romance story in there as well as other sci fi films that are looking to push the romance angle such as the $50 million budgeted "Upside Down" sci fi romance film (May 2011) with Jim Strugess with Kirsten Dunst.
