Introduction/Star Trek Movies

This is jiro. First post.
I am currently watching all the Star Trek movies
for the first time. I'm on Star Trek #8 now, 'First Contact'.
I'm blown away. I really like the behind the scenes. Especially
on ST7: 'Generations'. The gentleman who designed all the ships
since the early series explains the history of how he and Roddenberry
hooked up. I am watching the movies for inspiration of my own
sci-fi story/art, music, etc.

Enjoy! I kinda miss being able to watch a Trek movie for the first time, and not know what the next line is going to be. I guess it's now a matter of months until I can experience that again!

yeah, i'm way behind with movies but i really wonder
how i missed these great movies. Its should all lead
up nicely till May.

I feel very fortunate to have seen everything as they came out. I was hooked by my oldest brother on TOS and have essentially seen it all in order.

Thanks. If you watched it all when they came out chronologically, you were able to catch the excitement and popularity of the cast at the time. I just watched ST9: Insurrection. I liked this one better then First Contact. The movie just seemed to flow better. FC was great but maybe it was the writing or something to me. I'll have to revisit the movies again once i get through after Nemesis. Then i'll have make a 1-10 favorite. Anyway, i enjoyed Insurrection tonight. I guess i will have to figure out how DS9 comes into play. I've never seen one episode of that series.
