I wasn't a big fan of the initial reboot of Star Trek (2009) but I thought i'd give Into Darkness a second chance and it is mediocre at best. It feels like the writers from Twilight helped to formulate the script *queue crying scenes and close ups on angry faces*.
It takes more than getting a Scottish engineer and an angry doctor to make a good Star Trek story.
Best parts of the movie is prob the visuals, banter between kirk and spock and the 5 minutes we saw of the Klingon's, and the 5 mins at the beginning of the movie. The Khan story line was good unfortunately the tail end of the story farted out.
Also it bothered me a little that the Federation hosts high ranking members into a conference room with a great view ready for snipers etc :P
