I think his hopes that his acting career will continue for a long time are well-founded. He really did the nigh-impossible and brought Spock to life in a way that echoed Nimoy while still giving the character a new and different edge. Both he and Mount (among others) have fully earned the exposure this series will give them, and I hope to see him reprise the role again in some form.

Also, I know this is really shallow and irrelevant, but I thought he was hot with the beard. There, said it.

Peck did a fantastic job. His physicality and vocal rhythms evoked Nimoy without the feeling of mimicry.

I do wish they hadn't shaved him, it really makes him more obviously generic modern good looking white dude 275239. Spock / Nimoy has a distinct facial and body structure that is nothing like Peck, but the beard hid that well.
