They left out Excelsior...rats...
Makes some good and valid points, but I struggle to take seriously any review that labels Exeter as "shit."
His comments on Intrepid are mostly fair, though I take exception to his implication that there was any intentional symbolism in having a male captain kill the female captain.

Wow I thought after reading all the reviews Absolution would get slaughtered. Im laughing at the white dude in command comments. It just so happens that the captain isn't a white dude and not everything is as it seems. Having said that I find it really disturbing that its such a reoccurring theme. I doubt any fan film explicitly sets out to cast a male guy as a a lead; it's just real life and reading the reviews made me almost feel bad for being white!

Sorry, I have to strongly disagree with you you on this one. It is cool that you are open to some criticism, however his review of your production was shit. I can not take him seriously either.

Hi Philip. I appreciate the support but there's an awful lot about those early efforts I'd do differently. While I do think he overstates the misanthropic nature of the characters, I do agree we overdid the snark a lot of the time and it's something I've actively tried to tone down.
And I agree with his assessment about our earlier sound issues. We seem to take four steps forward with it, then tumble back down the stairs (broken board on the TASCAM being the latest issue). The reviewer took issue with our costuming, but never really understands that what we're doing is simply this:
