interesting cheat I found for Star Trek Armada 1

I was reading a fanfic novelization of the game when the author mentioned tht in the first Federation level if you save the game right after the Premonition arrives and then load the saved game the Prem has working weapons and engines.

Interesting! I wish there were more Federation missions or a mission creator, then we could have used the Premonition more often.

That sounds more like a glitch then a cheat.

Someone novelized Armada? I had no idea. The story certainly lends itself to that kind of treatment.
