Inspired by the April Challenge - Ptrope

This week I finished up a set of Poser props from Star Trek, too late to enter the challenge, but I couldn't resist throwing together a scene that uses a couple of the new props, along with various pieces I've built over the years .



The basic room architecture (window, left wall, floor & ceiling) is a media room that's part of a large "Dream Home" set from DAZ3D; everything else is mine. Here's one fan who apparently does not live in the basement!

Thanks! I'm sorry I missed the challenge this time, but I was dealing with a pile o' stuff (in addition to these models, which were minor, at most ).

I told Ptrope upon another board how those Sargon sphere "lamps" reminded me of the suspended globe "chandelier" that hung over our dining table (when my dad and I lived in a 2 floor, town-house apartment from 1972 to '75). I used to play with the dimmer knob, turning it in cadence with my speech as I bellowed "I am Sargon!" I also pretended it to be a planet, a star or the Fesarius around which I "orbited" an AMT kit version of the Enterprise.

Fun times... *Sigh*

I seem to recall a friend having a globe similar to that - I think it was made of strands of translucent glass all spun about into the shape of the globe. Huge dust catcher .

I've updated the pic - told the guy to make his bed and also added Pike's TV and the Medusan carry-on, and a tri-comm for good measure. Ya know, I could chill in a room like that (for a while - obviously it's not realistic: no action figures or hanging models ... ).

^That was me. Awful looking lamps, and they did collect dust like mad, but they were free.
