Inspiration: New Ideas or Rehatched Dependable Designs

Ever since I lost my google SU models, I've felt uninspired and left in limbo. I say limbo because I'm torn between Star Wars and Star Trek as the canvas for my first new model.

I love them both really. The science (albeit loose) and reality of Star Trek and the fantastic drama of Star Wars.

I'm presently working on scale drawings (by hand!) of a 1:19+ scale AT-ST for my 3 3/4" figures that I intend to scratch build. But that just feels right on paper and not SU.

I want to rebuild my Star Trek fleet, but I've already done those ships. Maybe re-doing them will give me something more detailed. But again, I did them. I want them back though...

And I want my Star Wars models too.

Another issue are the dimensions. I have to build everything to scale. I need the dimensions of what I want to build and that can be a project itself.

I just don't know and I feel lost. I keep starting to doodle in SU, hoping something will inspire me, yet nothing has to date.

Perhaps some suggestions from my fellow Trekkies will help. So post away my friends. No suggestions will go without consideration.

Starfleet ships are common, yet there are hundreds of other species with interesting starship design philosophies. Just a thought.
