insane sale on steam store right now

Yeah, thankfully I blew out last year and send hundreds of dollars so there's only a few things I need to get. Too bad that none of the EA or Activision games are on sale though.

Yeah, because it's the specific deal of the day (and was also on sale during the black friday thing I believe). None of the other games in the catalog are on sale... which is unfortunate when every other publisher put their stuff up for 30-50% off.

Ah, moving goalposts :p

I'd like to argue with you, but hey, it ultimately comes down to the fact that I want the RA3 expansion to go on sale. But EA hates Steam, so oh well.

And hell, I still can't believe they're charging 30 bucks for Battlefield 2. How silly.

I picked up Ghostbusters: the Game for $6.50US and GTA4 for $7.50US. I can't wait to see what else they put on sale..

I think I'll wait for the last day of the sale to pick up everything I want just to be sure that Valve doesn't put up anything I want as a daily deal with an even bigger discount.

I'm already making a list of games I want.

Picked up The Witcher Extended Edition Director's Cut 50% off but the d/l speeds are real bad right now. I hope to play the game before 2010 but who knows?

Jeez, so many games I'd like to get for cheap. Looks like I'll have to finally bite the bullet and sign up for Steam. I've always been a bit iffy on the digital distribution stuff (I like having an actual disc :p), but I guess I should join the 21st century sooner or later.

Is there anything I should be aware of before I sign up?

Naw, I don't think so. The only thing is that some games are limited by region, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Oh, and I guess some games still have install-limit DRM, which is a pain in the ass when you are buying the game off Steam, but that's how it goes.

Steam is too good. I can't pass up their deals. Nearly got Torchlight for 50% off. Then I hesitated and got it for 75% off the next day. Damn them.

I wonder how many of these games I'm buying I'll actually end up installing and playing...

Eh, that's Killing Floor and Burnout added anyway. :p

Yeah, I'm buying stuff on the off chance I'll play it years from now. Even Burnout... I mean, I barely play the PS3 version as it stands. :p

And it looks like EA isn't forgoing the sale entirely. I guess they worked out some kind of thing with Valve to just have one game go on sale every day - but have the advantage of it being on the front page.

I'm still waiting on RA3/Expansion...
