InnerSPACE SGU Special

Yeah, I don't like it when people post these things after the fact, but here it is anyway... Last night, Canadian viewers got treated to a one-hour special dedicated to Stargate Universe.

Taped in front of a studio audience, SGU’s Robert Carlyle, Louis Ferreira, Brian J. Smith, Elyse Levesque, David Blue, Alaina Huffman, Jamil Walker Smith, Ming-Na, Julia Benson, Patrick Gilmore, Jennifer Spence, and Peter Kelamis, along with creators Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, sit down with INNERSPACE hosts Ajay Fry and Teddy Wilson for an in-depth chat of all things SGU. You can watch the whole hour-long live show with the SGU cast at 11 p.m. E/P on SPACE, right after the episode "The Greater Good" of STARGATE UNIVERSE at 10 p.m. E/P.

I saw it and enjoyed it. First, Robert Carlyle came out and chatted with Ajay and Teddy, then Louis Ferreira joined him on the couch a few minutes later. The guy's a real clown. He came out to applause, taking pictures with his camera like some deranged tourist and even took a picture of Carlyle right in his face when he got up on stage. His chat was similarly funny and offbeat. When those two left, Cooper and Right came out to talk about the show for a bit. After them, the third wave came out and included the actors who play Volker, Brody, Lt. James and Dr. Park. Peter Kelamis, who plays Brody joked about hoping for a love scene on the show. Eventually, the rest of the cast came out and David Blue and Elyse Levesque revealed that they were in a relationship. It was a good hour and everyone had a good time. Some audience members even had costumes on. I noticed one person in SGC military gear and two people wearing Eli's t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt. The only thing missing from the event was Lou Diamond Phillips.

Canadian viewers can catch a repeat on Saturday Nov. 13th at 1PM EST. It might even become available on Space's website. For the rest of you, it's worth a look if you can find it.

Hopefully they'll make it available, I see some Innerspace material is available to outside viewers on the website. Syfy used to do more of this stuff back in the day.
