Indiana Jones Films Ranked

^^^
Nah, I've got to go with Alison Dody aka Elsa Schneider from Last Crusade.

I think that just as ToD has grown on people, I've seen it indicated as such around here, over time that KotCS will also be seen more favorable as time passes.

Me I really like it. I saw it twice in the cinema and have watched my DVD twice since getting it at Christmas already.

Elsa would be my second pick, but I love Willie in that dress!

The Phantom Menace had unrealistic expectations and has gotten a little more love over the years so Crystal Skull could have the same thing happen.

If I had to rank them, I'd say:

1. Raiders
2. Crusade
3. Crystal Skulls
4. Temple

My order too.

I can't believe anyone prefers The Last Crusade to the original. The original is a classic, the other three are merely decent (at best).

Is it that some people prefer the comedy of the third one?

Crystal Skull was amusing enough, and announced loudly early on that nothing would be plausible, so it was at least fun. Temple of Doom was a light-hearted action romp without the light-heart or the romping. It was serious without being about anything...?

Still, I can see how the last three are a question of taste as to which one you like best... but Raiders is one of the best films of its decade.

^^ Actually, I count it as one of my Top Ten films of all time. :)

For the record, I have no problem with any of the characters in Temple Of Doom; they have nothing to do with my placing it last.

I think that just as ToD has grown on people, I've seen it indicated as such around here, over time that KotCS will also be seen more favorable as time passes.
If TOD has grown on people, I think it's probably because all that torture and pain is more in keeping with the current zeitgeist. :rommie:

After Crystal Skull came out, I have heard many fans offering congratulations to Temple of Doom fans for no longer being the punchline film of the franchise. :klingon:

Ranking purely from personal preference:

1. Last Crusade
2. Raiders
3. Temple of Doom
4. Crystal Skull.

Raiders is of course far better than Crusade but the latter was the first I ever saw and you can't beat that nostalgic feeling!

1. Temple of Doom-Love how extreme they went with the fun action, darkness, comic relief, occasional offensiveness, also I actually like that its the most non-serial like, its more conventional in the plotting of the action.
2. Raiders-Points for the action, Belloq, Marion
3. Crystal Skull-the beginning was good, Spalko was OK, but here Marion and Mutt weren't very good characters and the object received too little attention.
4. Last Crusade-The least-impressive action scenes, Indy was too defanged, wasn't fond of Professor Jones or Elsa.

1. Raiders
2. Last Crusade
3. Temple
4. Crystal Skull

I just recently watched Crystal Skull for the second time (got the DVD used for cheap on Family Video's website) and I feel the same way as the first time I watched it, it just doesn't feel like an Indiana Jones film for some reason, it feels like a poor quality rip off.

Skull was a letdown. I saw it at the theater and then gave it a second chance on DVD when I rented it...

I have no desire to get this one on DVD. I have the boxed set of the others even though -- like I said -- I don't like ToD that much...
