Improved Gilbert and Sullivan Joke from Insurrection (very short skit)

I thought it was weird that Picard gave Worf a funny look when he misunderstood his question about Gilbert and Sullivan (why would Worf have known them? So I thought it would be funnier if he did!)

Fade In:

ONBOARD THE CAPTAIN’S YACHT

Captain Picard and Worf are trying to figure out how to get to Data in the Federation Scout Ship.

PICARD
Mister Worf, do you know Gilbert and Sullivan?

WORF
(confused)
There is nobody with those names on the Enter-

(remembers)
OH! The Mikado! Of course! How could I have forgotten? (beat) Why?

Picard looks at Worf, surprised that Worf of all people knows of “The Mikado”. But he manages to continue without pausing too long.

PICARD
Data was rehearsing a production of HMS Pinafore just before he left.

(sings)

A British tar is a soaring soul
As free as a mountain bird
His energetic fist should be ready to resist
A dictatorial word

(normal voice)

Sing, Worf, sing.

Worf sings with gusto.

PICARD/WORF
(sings)
His nose should pant and his lip should curl
His cheeks should flame and his brow should furl
His bosom should heave and his heart should glow
And his fist be ever ready for a knock-down blow

END SCENE.
