I'm not familiar with her, although I must have seen her in that episode of Dark Matter. She's only listed for two episodes.
What's also interesting is that the Klingons are all listed for only two episodes apiece, while Michelle Yeoh is listed for thirteen. Not that IMDB is always exactly accurate.....

According to her twitter account, she lives in Toronto. Absolutely possible, that she got a guest spot to be killed off.
I noticed that myself, but they're all credited for the first and last episode which is a weird peculiarity.
While IMDB always comes with the typical "anyone can update it!" warning, it's likely just whoever did update it listed the first and last episode instead of all of them.
That was my first thought anyway.
UESF starships and at least some ECS vessels in the 22nd Century also had CONN, so maybe Discovery - likely a lesser vessel than a Connie with smaller crew they're following that style? IMO, having Navigation and Science as seperate Bridge Stations manned 24/7 as seems as a little redundant to me anyway.

In the first episode she seen walking on to the holodeck, we forget about her for the rest of the first season.
In the last episode she walks off the holodeck and we find out that the entire first season has been one of her holo-adventures.
