Seen star trek in the imax few times , was stunned at how good it was , do you think the next film will be filmed with imax cameras so we can have the full effect of the imax experience.

I think there is a good chance considering this run did quite well in Imax...right? I saw it in Imax and I kinda thought that I was missing part of the action sometimes....The screen was so "in my face" that I thought I needed some perspective....so I was considering going to see it on a regular screen but just never got around to it.

IMAX is way better than the regular screen. I felt like I was completely immersed in the film when I saw it IMAX. I think there's a pretty good chance the next film will get a longer run in IMAX, if it isn't completely filmed in IMAX cameras. Because... wow.

I agree, they would be insane to not include a imax version of the next movie.

I certainly hope the next one is filmed with IMAX cameras. I saw this on once on the IMAX and 4 times on a normal screen. IMAX was better. If this next one is filmed with IMAX in mind, with IMAX cameras, it will certainly look better, and will definitely be worth the higher cost.

I love my IMAX, particularly with the leather upholstered seats that have speakers embedded in them. Nothing like feeling warp drive in your ass.

Yes, I am aware of how that sounded. I will live with it.

It's too expensive to film the entire movie in IMAX, and IMAX cameras are way too loud for any scenes with dialog (which is why The Dark Knight only used IMAX for loud action scenes). So they may film some scenes in IMAX like The Dark Knight and Transformers 2 did, but not the entire movie.

wish I saw it on Imax...but I would prolly jape in my pants if I did...I don't know if I could handle that kind of awesome...

I saw a digital print opening night and loved it. Myself, I wasn't sure I wanted to be moving my whole head around in order to follow the action... However, now that I've seen it three times, I feel I have adequately prepared myself. Personally, I can't quite see Imax for a first viewing of a plot-based movie where actors' performances are a big part of what it's about. But warp drive up my posterior does sound...fascinating.
