I'm Glad Kira Followed Sikso's Order 'bout the Time Line

Photon

Commodore
Commodore
in Wrongs Darker than Death or Night (**cough over dramatic title cough**)

Could she have just observed the happenings instead of participating in them....geez

*****That would be "Sisko" not Sikso.....*****

It was her mother cavorting with the evil Gul Dukat ... frankly I'm surprised she didn't interfere more in the time line. Instead, she changed her mind about blowing Dukat (and her mother) up. Sisko's hardly one to talk about not interfering in past timeline's anyway ... Gabriel Bell anyone?

True, but he was her commanding officer

I've wondered if we're meant to believe that the events "in the past" literally happened, or were a vision sent to Kira, to reveal the truth about her feelings for her mother...?

I hate this episode - it's ridiculous. Am I supposed to believe that Dukat would not tell Kira at the earliest opportunity that he was sleeping with her mother during the Occupation, etc? Really?

Or, worse, after six years he only just put two and two together?

And nobody (Bajoran or Cardassian) ever mentioned or noticed that the mother of the Bajoran second in command of DS9 was the former lover of Dukat? I thought both sides didn't look too fondly on this sort of thing?

It had all the hallmarks of a 'very special episode' of Star Trek Deep Space 90210.

^ When you're trying to get into a girl's pants telling them you kidnapped their mum and forced them whore out exclusively to you isn't going to help your cause. Then again Kira might be a common name on Bajor for all we know, so it might not be obvious that Nerys and Meru were closely related.

I like that Dukat claims to be telling Kira this because he wants to be truthfully about who he is and what he's done, but he also "believes" that Kira's mum staying with him was because she wanted him rather than her sacrificing herself for the wellbeing of her husband and more importantly her children.

^^^^^^WIN^^^^^^

And all this right in the middle of a war, started by Dukat. Complete and utter BS
