I'm a doctor, not a....

....do people here have a favourite occasion when Dr McCoy says "I'm a doctor, not a(n)....?

You guys have already mentioned all of my favorites, but I was looking at a Memory Alpha article about the "I'm a doctor, not a" catch phrase and I figured The Doctor from Voyager actually had some of the funniest lines. For example: "I'm a doctor, not a voyeur", "I'm a doctor, not a peeping Tom", "I'm a doctor, not a battery." or "I'm a doctor, not a zoo-keeper."

I always appreciated Doctor Bashir's "I'm a Doctor, not a historian." from "Trials and Tribblations", and how quickly he changed his mind about history once he saw just how short Jadzia's 23rd century uniform was.

The EMH seems to have quite a few. That could be a reason to watch Voyager I suppose - just to see how many of those quotes he has!

From The City On The Edge Of Forever - "I'm a surgeon, not a psychiatrist". My mind has suddenly gone blank for more, which is shocking.

Hmm. Never thought about it before, but TNG is the only series where I don't believe we ever heard one of the "I'm a doctor..." lines. Odd, too, since Pulaski seems to be a natural to deliver one.

I seem to remember she snuck one in in an episode or two.

She does seem rather perfect for it - especially since she also doesn't trust the transporter and seems to have a sort of dislike for technology. Remind anyone of another Star Trek doctor?! :D
