IKC - IKV - IKS

Does anyone know the history of the use of these Klingon ship prefixes in fiction (fan and official)? I know IKC comes from TMP radio chatter (“Imperial Klingon Cruiser Amar…”), and I know DS9 eventually settled on IKS. So here’s a thread where we can chart the usage in-between.

IKV comes from John M. Ford's The Final Reflection.

I assumed he got it from the Spaceflight Chronology, but I haven’t checked.

Dreams of the Raven features the one and only use of "IKF" as I recall. ("Imperial Klingon Fighter," surely.)
