For me it would be a snail. Because I am slower than more people and everyone I know is just very fast paced lives. They are always on the go, go, go. Well, not now with the virus. But when things were normal they were. Me I like to take my time and go for a slow long walk. So I am a snail!
This is my family --- these guys are brothers just talking to each other .. we always talk like that I have always identified with the lynx === it is me I am a lynx. so yeah. it is a good topic here but It might not be one of the mega topic multi page ones as usually once people post =--- = it is over .. but the what religion are you thread is still kicking some.. you know.. so OK What animal are you ? I like it.
Definitely a cat. Among my feline characteristics are my solitary nature, my nocturnal habits, my love of meat, and my abundant silky body fur.
I'm a lot like guinea pigs. I'm a little chubby, I love food, I rest a lot, I love my routine and I squeak when I'm excited. I'm just not as fluffy.
A cat--a thoroughly domesticated, suburban house cat. A sofa to lie on all day, food provided whenever I howl, a little fenced-in yard to roam around in---sounds pretty damn good.
There seem to be two different types of answers going on in the thread so far: what animal would you like to be, and what animal is most like you. Like to be: probably a cat. Who wouldn't want to run the household, sleep 20 hours a day, and then basically lie around for most of those four hours that you're awake? Most like me: I guess maybe a chipmunk? Skittish, sees others as a source of anxiety, and prefers to stay away from everyone. Unless you're kind, and *very* patient--plus free food always helps--and then maybe I will slowly warm up to you, and come and be your friend... but only expect me to get together for short periods at a time. And don't make any sudden moves.
I'd be a European dormouse: They sleep 7 months and spend the remaining 5 months eating. What a life!
An owl. An independent loner, simultaneously still but alert, kind of cute and harmless looking, but actually pretty sharp & brutal when the moment calls for it
A wolf but admittedly a great deal of that is for my namesake. Although the pack or social mentality is not my thing, there’s something very me about teeth against the wild.
^how about a single living predator then? A cugar, lynx or tiger? (funny - there seem to be no single living canids while with cats you have both single and clan species)
Lone wolf refers to exile and I have no particular desire to aspire to be an outcast. It’s a good description of me in this forum though haha
I found a single living wolf species for you The maned wolf. A handsome animal with impressive teeth and a wolf if you don't use the narrowest of definitions (subtribe Canina) but a slightly wider one (tribe: Canini)
What animal I would like to be a cat. But one that goes on adventures with my family. I would walk on a leash and love long cars rides. I would be a lap cat. And I would love to play. One thing though no chocolate, that would be a down side.
Fuck being any kind of animal that's not an apex predator You'd spend most of the day wondering if you're going to get eaten Casually foraging one minute, then your bones are out the next
And washing yourself with your tongue might be a bit of a down side, too. Plus having all those hairs in your mouth afterwards. I think you'd be a cat like Duchesse from Aristocats
