If you became a dragon what things would you do?

5. Direct my cultists to set up dummy gangs with a bunch of fake ideologies -- Alberta Separatism, Hygiene Skepticism, Earth-on-a-Turtlism, People Against Yogi Berra, whatever -- and begin stealing my "gold hoard" from vulnerable targets, preferably ones who are themselves already thieves or criminals.
This is a ridiculous thread necro, but for a really good reason.

I would just like to note that Albert the Friendly Dragon's hustle is well underway and Alberta Separatism is not only a going concern but now has direct access to the coffers of the United States government (and to the data of literally every Alberta voter, something I left out of my original scheme). So... yeah. Joke's on those who doubted my sophisticated draconic schemes, I guess. :rommie:

(I mean, really, it's just wild to me that when I posted the above words a decade ago, Alberta Separatism was one of the most ridiculous things I could think of and well... here we are. Funny old world. Carry on, everyone.)

Oh, this thread definitely needs to be kept open! :techman:

Does my friend here qualify as a dragon? I don't believe that was ever settled, back in the 60s...

Alberta separatism has been a thing for decades (look up the Western Canada Concept party; they ran candidates in elections here in the 1980s).

The reason they weren't really on anyone's radar is because they were fringe. WCC is before Preston Manning flanged up the Reform Party, and the really crazy, insane stuff didn't start happening here until Manning's party and shenanigans started.

Well, at least now we know why Smitler has been so insistent on getting rid of the CPP, RCMP, and claiming "Albertans don't want" the health and social programs the feds set up to help low-income Albertans.

She's been stealing the federal Canada Disability Benefit from 77,000 AISH recipients for months now.

That was admittedly a pretty good reason. I don't think I'd read the original post before, so thanks for the laugh! (Then again, it was a decade ago, maybe I did read it? Either way, it seemed like the first time!)

I'll roast you alive slowly like I did with Kevin O'Leary...

Nice to see that Albert at least has some good qualities!

Now, the unfortunate part is, it's still a decade old, so I do have to close it. Sorry. But I did appreciate the opportunity to read it. Please don't burn me, or smite me, or whatever it is dragon god-emperors do.
