If there is going to be a new series...asian Riker

Lt. Cheka Wey

Commander
Do asians need their own womaniser character after the asexual travesty that Harry Kim was? Asians can be masculine too, they need justice. Who could play an asian Riker?

Have a child yes, when did he marry?

:)

Given Scotty mentioned Sulu found the time to make a family, then Kirk spends the next half of the movie lamenting over not marrying Antonia, one makes the assumption.

Sulu was like one of the few Trek characters to get married and have a kid.

Offscreen.

So? On screen weddings, conceptions and birth scenes are more than a little cliche anyways.

Other than making the females wear revealing catsuits and horny doctors suckering the patients into lubing each other up in a "decon chamber" ;)

I've never liked the catsuits. They looked like full body condoms to me.

Give me an attractive women in a Starfleet uniform any day!

I want real sexual tension and people waking up in bed together (insert lovely Bashir and Ezri pic) and seemingly having real relationships. Ignoring the decon scene I think ENT actually took a stab at that.

I just want it to be a little more grown up. Even though it is full of death and planets blowing up and alien invasions whenever I say this someone always counters with, "but it's a FAMILY show".

I'm CorporalClegg, and I support this message.

The problem with real relationships isn't the content so much as it is the risk of upsetting the status quo without employing a reset button. It's why you don't see too much of that on Trek in general.

I have nothing against asexual characters. I love them. I love the focus on cool stuff instead of all the drama of sex and "love". I am tired of the modern idea that everything has to be soaked in sexy and love. T'Pol was very cool in the start of Enterprise in my opinion. The episode where she tried to rape everyone was embarrassing. If I wanted to watch stuff like that I would watch MTV.
