If the x-crew who jumped ship in YOH were temporally shielded...

Because it's suiside if they weren't.

Shuttles, escape pods, and Neelix's ship, as well as any makeshift runners they built in the final days before they all split up would have had to have been temporally shielded just like Voyager otherwise they would have been swatted by Annorax everytime he tried to fix time or during that final fluster when Janeway wound back reality by ramming the bugger.

That's easily over a hundred crewmen if you consider there must have been felled by some catastrophic bitchslap that forced Janeway into splitting up her "family" that there weren't a 140 Fedration Citizens (and terrorists) trapped in a (from one perspective) mirror DQ trying to make their way home to an earth that might not know who the frakk they are in little better than space-rowboats...

I wonder why Janway never bumped into any of these dopplegangers?

I'm pretty sure only the fleet that engaged Annorax at the end was shielded.

The whole point was that Voyager's presence was what was messing up Annorax's calculations. If it weren't for the shielded Voyager, the Krenim wouldn't have reverted to a pre-warp state when they did. Kinda like screwing up reinstalling a program because of one write-protected file.

Anyway, don't look too closely at Annorax's weapon, 'coz it all falls apart. Shoot a planet and the civilization never existed - but why not the planet itself? If the people evolved on the planet, and the planet gave them life (heck, they probably ate vegtables grown on the planet, if nothing else), the planet should vanish too ('coz the vegtables in their stomachs were hit and thus never existed, which means the plants that begat them never existed, which means...). If the planet exists as a result of the big bang, that should be undone too. Nothing ever existed, ever.

To talk about an ep. that's full of holes! What if several of the crew are in an escape pod and spend acouple months traveling to a point just outside the sphere of influence of Annorax weapon. He finds a sweetheart on a planet and is at a party with her family and friends and Janeway rams and detonates the timeship. He suddenly disappears , leaving headlines the next day in the newspaper. And worse still, the other two travel another five light years and is far enough out not to be affected. Than those two would each be split in two leaving four active people.

I think this all depends entirely on you guys actually knowing exactly how that weapon worked, which we don't.
