If It Had Been Picard Instead of Spock In The Cave...

Very funny thread. I do seriously wonder though what it would've been like if Picard were in this film instead of Spock though - it'd have been like a passing back of the baton, and I think a lot of today's young viewers were more familiar with Picard - "the bald captain" to the layman - than the pointy-eared guy, so you got the symbolism of a new era there. What if he'd died? It'd be a very moving sendoff, moreso than Nemesis (hell, if he were just in the movie anyway it'd still be better than Nemesis).

I don't doubt that it could work. But as I mentioned before, it would prove all that dramatic as well as having Spock-Prime there. It provided that link to tie certain things together.

Well, Kate Mulgrew, as no doubt many have recently seen, liked the notion of Janeway and Picard in a sequel film....not very likely, as that in truth would be doing the tie-in overmuch, I suppose...but I'd not at all mind the connectivity, anyway.The startup post was clever, and funny.
