If Annorax talked like Red Forman

What would he say?

He would have called Tom Paris "Dumb Ass" all thru the ep.

 

It would have been my favorite Trek episode of all time!

"Captain Dumbass!"

 

"Obrist! Get your boney butt over here and clean out the temporal core!"

 

The problem with the casting of Kurtwood Smith in Star Trek is that although he did portray the Federation President in TUC, among other gues roles including "Year of Hell, Parts I & II," he was not used effectively...

Meaning, I wish Rick Berman or whoever would have allowed more of his "Clarence Boddicker" or "Red Foreman" personality to come out of his Star Trek villain roles. Even cast him as a recurring villain with the status and memorability of Q, Gul Dukat, Weyoun, or the Borg Queen instead of those forgettable villains of the week. But, they didn't. What a waste of good talent.

 

To which the reply would have been undoubtedly: "Double dumbass on you!"

 

I still expect him to say "dumbass" every time I watch the Ep... hm... now I want to watch it...

Kurtwood Smith was too subdued in his Star Trek performances.

Rick Berman and the Star Trek writers extinguished that fire in his belly. And quite a fire it is!

 

Just wish that they'd release his excellent short film 12:01 PM. (And I mean the original short film, not the crappy feature length remake.)

Personally, I would love to see Red Foreman in the Trek universe. Neelix would shut up, Troi would stay away from him, Wesley wouldn't be so goddamn annoying, Quark would stay in line, and Kira would find him irresistible. What's not to love?

 

They need to make a remastered version where Debra Jo Rupp is the wife. I mean, for that girl, I could understand all his fanaticism.
