I'm wondering if the "100 Page Spectacular" is all reprints? There's no mention that it is, but there's no mention of new material, either.

The entire list (with links to the covers) can be found at http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=33979

Okay, so their "reimaginings" of classic episodes aren't going through the entire series, but picking and choosing certain stories. Further evidence that they're not just recapping TOS but doing something different with the concepts.

Bwa-huh? Their 100 page spectacular is 32 pages? Something seems ... off ... about that.

Hmm, two remakes/reimagingings/whatever for the NuTrek comics. I'm kinda disappointed by that to be honest, I was hoping for mostly new stories with the occasional reimagining thrown in there every now and then.

^Well, we still don't know just what "reimagining" means. They might be new stories that just have some similar elements.

Are the comics going to try to stay consistent with the future novels in nuTrek or its going to be like in the Rodenberrywerse?

I don't understand the question. There's no known plan to do any novels in the Abrams continuity, except for the young-adult Academy novels, and I gather that the Bad Robot people are keeping a close eye on continuity among all the Abramsverse tie-ins. And I have no clue what you mean by "like in the Rodenberrywerse [sic]."

I don't really mind them picking the best TOS episodes or just referencing some of the episodes in passing but I think I agree that I would rather that they intersperse them with new stories. They may just have picked Gallileo 7 early on because it highlighted Spock's command ability and they want to explore that early in the run. I wonder if the supporting cast will be the same? Certainly the cover implies that Spock and McCoy will still be there and it makes sense for Uhura to remain on the Enterpise for the added dynamic that will bring.

However, a dynamic of six guys and a gal on the shuttle is probably too dated for the 21st century. I'll be very disappointed if the writers don't put more effort into equalising the sexes, including a few female security guards getting offed.

I'm still rooting for Janice, who would have appeared in the story if Grace hadn't been fired beforehand. Instead we could be stuck with Mears - damn her perky brown hair and common sense!

So all we're getting now is re-imagined/re-hashed TOS stories and superhero crossovers? Sorry, but I don't have much faith in IDW anymore, especially since I saw they're doing a Duke Nukem comic now. I like what IDW has done with trek in the past, but it's time for another company to get a hold of the trek license.

Is IDW doing digital comics yet?
They did have IDW Trek comics on the Playstation Network through PSP, but Comixology for PC doesn't. The only IDW stuff Comixology has is Transformers.
EDIT: I just remembered, they do have some of the old Gold Key comics on Comixology.

I read rumors that the game is going to be the tie-in, i think if there are going to do a tie-in its much more likely. Thats probably why we never hear anything about it because of spoilers.

Tie-ins could simply include the comics using 'official' designs for sets and equipment or the use of characters who are going to get name checks or cameos in the sequel. I doubt that they will go as far as using the likenesses of particular actors they are intending to use in the movies but we don't know how far along the casting process has got. They may have always intended to introduce certain characters like Chapel in the sequel and so they may have approached certain actors to play those roles already.

Do we know the release date for the electronic version of Star Trek #1?
