I've been thinking about IDIC lately. Where do we see it in Vulcan culture? It seems that Vulcans are often seen as at worst intolerant and at best rather disdainful of other, dirtier, more emotional cultures (I'm thinking ENT, Tuvok..)
I'm wondering if it was a philosophy coming out of an epiphany of the need/mechanics for peace at the culmination of their violent era. Maybe compared to what they once were their culture is the epitome of infinite diversity in infinite combination.
Or perhaps it's humancentric to see IDIC as primarily sociological. It may just be about fractals! To reflect on the infinite diversity of fractals would certainly expand one's understanding of logic.
What do Vulcans mean by IDIC and what does it mean for them?
