All writers need ideas. Hopefully they are well read people. I've considered and considered the story of Eve and Eden. We now know that Doggerland sank beneath the waves in the North Sea. We know at least one comet struck Greenland about 12,000 years ago. Specialized imagery has revealed the series of rivers described in Genesis that surrounded "Eden" where a garden was planted. It is now beneath the Red Sea south of Kuwait.

Kabalistic story. It's a story of secret knowledge. I think it's true. The Oera Linda book tells us that before Doggerland sank the entire world worshipped Wralda the All Father wise and good. After that polytheism erupted and the author of the book excoriorates it.
Eve talks to a serpent in a tree. The serpent tempts her to take a magnificent 'fruit" from the tree of knowledge. This is a very science fiction story. Some say the tree is Eve's body the chakra energy points that make it up. Tantra teaches that there is a serpent coiled at the base of our spine and with sex magic we can unleash its powers. The ancient world was literally a temple prostitution cult where men went to pay specialized priestesses to engage in sex rituals to gain magic powers. It turned into a hideous rite. Babies being burned alive in sacrifices to Molech or Baal. The abominations of the Amorites.
