We have the technology now to do her justice in a live-action film as she is one of my favorite Trek characters since i was a kid watching reruns of the show on Nick in the 80s and had a crush on her. Who can play her?

I think M'ress was a little too cornball. Arex, however, was awesome.
The actress who plays Donna on "Suits", Sarah Rafferty.
(Actually, I have no idea if that would work or not. But I'd like to see her try.

I think Arex would end up looking a little too close to species 8472. Either that or like Pilot from Farscape. It could be an interesting cast addition for nuTrek though. Especially if they opt to not recast Chekov going forward.
M'ress would be easy by today's standards. Heck we have seen live action Caitian's as background characters in some of the TOS era movies. The makeup wasn't great yet, but they looked a lot better than some of the other aliens.

I would like it if they did live-action Caitians looking like the ones from Star Trek: Online. M'Ress's TAS design is a tad too non-serious for me.
Nothing should look like "the ones from Star Trek Online."
