I wish they had did a James bond in the 24th century episode.

They could have played with the fact the Bond movies have survived through different decades. First movie was in the 60's and they are still making them. It would have been kind of fun to a see James Bondian type of spin on the Trek universe were the characters play James Bondian versions of themselves. Turn Deep Space Nine into a Big Casino were Sisko is planning a invasion of Earth with his Bajoran foot soldiers. The Defiant is painted Gold and his captain's chair is basically a throne. Bashir would be undercover as the stations doctor and O'Brien would be Q. Jadzia would be the bond girl and the movie would have awesome shuttlcar car chase in the streets of a Bajoran town.

I kind of like it that way. After all, too much of a good concept isn't necessarily a good thing at all (no copying of Capt. Kirk intended there). I think if they started to do James Bond even once a season it would have gotten stale. That's one of the reasons I like Our Man Bashir and Elementary, My Dear data - they are departures from the norm and there's not a lot of episodes like that so the fun factor is conserved.

"Our Man Bashir" was a superb episode.

I particularly liked the musical score.

Every scene ends with the typical 007 "dang da dang dang....WAH WAH!!!!!" theme.
