I went to the Star Wars in Concert last week

I went with one of my brothers-in-law. Another had bought the tickets but figured I'd enjoy it more than him. Do I have great brothers-in-law or what? I commented that, if the roof caved in, every nerd and geek in Fresno would be gone.

Just hearing the 20th Century Fox theme live was neat!

Okay, it's basically Threepio gives a nice summary of the whole plot, with scenes/montages of the movies (sometimes out of order), with accompanying music. It was great, though I had been to John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl before.

The displays outside the arena seating were very cool, though glare made some pictures difficult. Only a few people really dressed up.

I forgot to wear my one Star Wars t-shirt!! It's 14 years old but in great shape. An olive green shirt with the butthead band:
Mos Eisley Cantina
--picture of the band--
Bar & Grill
A wretched hive of scum and villainy
"NO DROIDS ALLOWED

with a side note on it: "Featuring the Funk Stylings of Figrin D'an & the Modal Nodes nightly"

The one time I'm somewhere where people would actually "get" it, and I forget to wear it!!

I saw this in London a few months back....it was OK, but I thought the use of clips with rather intrusive dialogue ruined the music - this was most noticeable in Battle of the Heroes where Anakin randomly screams "NOOOO!" at the top of his voice. That, and Antony Daniels really gayed up the place, I came to listen to the music, not 20 minutes of you prancing about on stage.

They left out a couple of tracks i'd have liked to have heard, but aside from that it was OK - I went as a random birthday present and I'd have rather had the money spent on something else, but oh well, least I can say i've been.

Saw this a few weeks back here in Vegas and loved it. The various props, costumes, etc were great. I especially liked seeing some of John Williams' hand written score.
