I want to see a new series, anyone else?

^They were stuck on the wrong side of the Delta quadrant and the Borg blocked their path on the way home. Lacking charisma is expected.

Kirk and crew encountered a giant light ball, planet killer, space amoeba, body altering pancakes and killer honey scented smoke and still had charisma.

Because they got drunk, and I don't mean that synthohol crap.

Sure a new series would be nice, but it's only been what a decade since Trek went off the air. In some respects a long rest is good, as it makes the audiance want it more.

Another Sci-Fi show after being on the air for 26 years was cancelled only to return (aside from 1 TV Movie) 16 years later.

My idea is for a weekly anthology series, consisting of four individual Trek shows... Here's my faux TVGuide ads: http://www.inpayne.com/temp/trekseries6.jpg
Some nice ideas there! I'm especially intrigued by Gamma One (might need a better title though).

If a new series is ship-based, I'd like to get more sense of its "geography" than in previous shows, i.e. if it is a remote explorer, emphasise its isolation both visually and by detailing the communication and logistic problems. If the ship is on patrol or special mission within the Federation, I'd like a more definite sense of the feel of the different territories, and how they border each other. For me these issues undermined the previous series, to some extent making them seem to exist in a bubble.

And of course keep Abrahms well away. Maybe Bryan Fuller could be convinced to shepherd the franchise. I've loved him for Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies, and now Hannibal, and only recently was surprised to discover his Trek connection.
