"I want another TNG or 24th Movie!"

In theory I wouldn't mind having another 24th Century movie. Doesn't have to be just TNG. I don't want a "bring all the casts together" movie, but if it works DS9 or Voyager elements into the story, in a way that makes sense and doesn't just look like a mish-mash, then OK.

Key thing is we need a damn good story, and a movie that has repercussions. It can't be just another run-of-the-mill story. I enjoyed Insurrection and Nemesis, but they tended to lean toward that.

And you'd need to introduce new characters, because some of our gang is getting up there and can't carry the ball anymore. Stewart probably won't come back. Get Frakes, Sirtis, Goldberg, Wheaton, Dorn, Burton...

Well, as my father said to me as a child, "Want in one hand and sh*t in the other; see which one fills up first."

We can want this or that, but it ain't gonna happen because we, the fans, have no say in the direction of a multi-billion dollar franchise as Trek. But if you want more 24th century, I really do recommend the current batch of TrekLit books especially the Titan series.

The best part of having the movies for me was seeing characters I liked on TV come back and do films. A remake will probably be okay (I'm trying to be open minded), but I wouldn't mind another TNG-era movie or two. I'd love a Titan series with Riker, Troi and his crew. Without Data or Picard, the stories have a chance to grow and cover new ground. They could really get back to going where no one has gone before, back to exploration and meeting a new race. A race that won't engage them in yet another space battle.

Ah well.

I have always loved TNG and all the characters I would say yes not out of series enthusiasm but more to fix the mistakes and box office tragedy that was Nemesis.

Id do the same for Enterprise's last episode TATV as well.

I wouldn't mind another TNG movie if only to give the crew a better send off. That being said the same could be accomplished with a new cut of Nemesis. Restore most/all of the deleted scenes, maybe adjust the pacing a bit and it would be a much better film.

I would prefer an ENT film or a film set in the TOS era without the original crew.

I don't think a new TNG movie will ever happen.

But, a mini-series of the 24th century would be great.

Shot in Hi-Def/widescreen featuring regulars and recurring characters from the 24th century would be the way to go.

No moaning about getting the 'complete' cast of any particular series or following in the exact footsteps of where anything left off.

you'd get the actors who really WANTED to return--rather than having to bribe a few 'major' actors with huge salaries.

Forget the Borg, the Cardassians, the Klingons etc as adversaries and come up with a new threat/mission or whatever for the heroes to face.

Even a 'Magnificent 7' type story would great with Garak, Riker, Worf, Tuvok, Troi, Seven, Martok, Kurn, Geordi, Paris, Bashir & O'brien & many others to chose from--perhaps with the Titan as the amin vessel.

Thing is, all the 24th century shows had their wrap-ups within their own shows' runs, unlike TOS. As such, there's no real need to have a "end to the 24th Century" Trek movie.

With TOS, it was cancelled after 3 seasons which left a lot of their universe left to explore (I mean their background and setting) and the movies did that, and TUC was a good wrap-up to that.

TNG had a full 7 seasons and was able to explore the 24th Century pretty well within their own series, develop the chracters and have a wonderful finale that wrapped up the show well (All Good Things). There really wasn't much need for TNG movies quite frankly, which is why they weren't all that good.

DS9 also wrapped itself up very well within its own show.

VOY wrapped up its main story and ended most characters. Not the way we would've liked but ended them it did.

So there's no need to have more 24th century movies because it was wrapped up pretty well in all its' TV shows.
