If you haven't seen these movies and you might not have because I think they are kind of obscure.

The first movie stared Mimi Rogers and pre-X-Files David Duchovney. She plays this sad women who has casual sex. She finds God and becomes a harcore fundie. Eventually though through trajedy she looses her love for God even though the Rapture happens.

The other movie is about these schoolgirls and teacher that go on a picnic in the year 1900. Some of the girls and the teacher disapear under mysterious circumstances. The movie is about the mystery.

Picnic At Hanging Rock is one of the great Aussie movies, and was a big boost for the director Peter Weir. Even today it has a strange, creepy quality.

I saw Picnic at Hanging Rock originally in a Film Studies class. It's one of those films that draw you back several times to get a better understanding of it. I'd like to see it again but not enough to get the DVD.

Another one that I find somewhat similar is "Legend of 1900" by Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore.

In my life I have probably met two girls named Miranda.

I ALWAYS greet them with "MIRANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You can imagine how much they LOVE that.

Rapture was a great flick... Mimi's magnificent mams were swaying all over the place.

I got to admit that is why I watched in the first place. I thought she was going to be all slutty and kinky in the movie and the idea of seeing a slutty and kinky Mimi Rogers was apealing to me. The movie being a great was something I wasn't expecting.

Haven't seen Rapture, but I saw Picnic At Hanging Rock a long time back, not bad when it comes to Australian Cinema (which doesn't always have a lot to offer compared to other foreign cinema).
