I Never Got a Chance to Show You Guys My Halloween Costume! lol

VulcanVixen

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
I've been so busy with school that I've been neglecting these boards! :O Well, for halloween, I dressed up as a member of the Starfleet Engineering squad, with a Science tricoder and everything. Yes, contradictory, but the baby blue dress did not appeal to me. I wish I knew how to sew, then I would have made my own, probably would have cost a lot less than this polyster version! Biggest rip off. Well, anywho! Did anyone else dress up? I didn't see as many Spocks this year as I had hoped(because of the latest movie.) I didn't see a single one!

There's a thread on this board somewhere where someone said hot women can't like trek - that thread needs a visit to this thread for.... well, you.

Just sayin'.

Vixen, Check out Ebay under Star Trek Props. There is a person called merrymouse (or something like that) that makes fantastic reproductions of the uniforms. If I remember correctly there are about $100 each and custom created for you. You send her/him your sizes... also she used real velour. Check it out if you get a chance. I plan on getting one from her at some point in the future. My Spock uniform that I made 30 years ago is a little tight now a days. :-) best wishes, wws

Hey VulcanVixen!

Cute! How come I couldn't find a girl like you when I was in school? :rommie:

Love that smile.

Did your Halloween costume include the pointed ears?

Thanks, you guys! And thanks a load, WWS! I tried looking for custom made uniforms on ebay, but couldn't find any, now I know where to look! I'm super excited now! :D And if you decide to Spock it up, I want to see pictures! :D

haha, oh Wingsly, you charmer! lol, I actually had to buy the ears separately... but they kept falling off, so I nixed them from my costume, my hair covers my ears, anyhow. lol

Nice uniform, VulcanVixen. Is that an Art Asylum/Diamond Select tricorder?

This is from Haloween 2008. I was at a wedding rehearsal dinner which we were encouraged to attend in costume. I hadn't been Riker for Halloween since I was 10, so this was a lot of fun:

Looking very Billy Campbell/Riker-esque there, pal! -- RR

Looking absolutely dashing, my friend! I agree with the others, you bare an uncanny resembalance to a younger Riker! :D

I can 100% vouch for the quality and speed of her costumes. I got a Kirk uniform for Halloween and I was thrilled. She got it to me in 12 days (shirt and pants) and the workmanship is outstanding. Everyone at the party was crazy about it.

The shirt is a little loose because I actually dropped a few pounds between taking the measurements and the party. And I didn't have tall boots when I measured for the pants, so they're a little low. I wound up finding a pair last minute. Hey, it was my first custom costume. ;-)

"Quick, Scotty! Beam me up fast before either Betty Boop sicks her puppydog on me... or I step on one of those legendary Beta Boopis III canine land mines!"

Caption contest, anyone? :rommie:

Back in the 1970's, when I was in elementary school, I dressed in an improvised TOS costume. Nothing as good as what you folks are doing. Mine was just a bright blue sweatshirt and black pants, with an improvised badge on the chest made of tinfoil. Of course, I had my model phaser and communicator on-hand. Light years from you three! :vulcan:

My hat is off to anyone who has the gumption, and the resources to pull off a convincing TREK costume!

Yowza. Like an alternative universe Trek, where Tura Satana served on the Enterprise.

Methinks you have frustrated/made quite happy a bunch of fanboys.

But you wanna see hot?

Now that's hot! Me in 1975! I especially like the long johns sticking out at the neck, for those cold New England Halloweens!

Wow, you all look GREAT!

Seigezunt, OMG! Your picture from 75 is fabulous!! And is it just me, or did you look like Jacob Kogan who played Little Spock in the new movie!!!!
