I need a new comedy

I liked "Andy Richter Controls the Universe," which just came out on DVD. I don't think it lasted an entire season, so it's not a huge commitment.

How I Met Your Mother, and Frasier are my current favorite comedies on DVD. You could also go old school and watch The Bob Newhart Show; one of the greatest comedies of all time (IMO).

Outnumbered from BBC1

Only 12 episodes but rather beautifully written family sitcom which is only partly scripted. A lot of the praise is heaped on the children, but the adults are just as superb.

I don't know of anyone who watches it other than me, but it's from the writers of Drop The Dead Donkey (a British slice of genius), and is quite sublime - sweet, involved, a times a little heartbreaking, but also very, very funny.

Hugo - Oh, he's got a rabbit...

I've seen bits about it, and it's been nominated for awards, but I never could get in to it.

Outnumbered is worth watching, but not something I'd want to watch again and again.
And it's only good because of the two kids in it and their semi unrehearsed/written responses to things. (The older kid is an annoying prick) Esp the girl, she's amazing.
If it weren't for them it would be a pretty lame show
