as you can see I got part of my bridge done
now for the buttons and controls I'll be using jewels from Hobby Lobby and Micheals but I need graphics for the panels is there a location I can find them and shrink them down to 1/6 scale

I still got a few more slices to go to finish the bridge

I used a Dremel tool and drilled holes in the nav console and put little glass beads I got at Michaels in place. I used a proportionally sized copy of the console from the Franz Joseph Tech Manual as a pattern or guide to do this. I used a diagram from the Star Trek Magazine of the astrogator and simply laminated it and glued it into place after cutting a large hole out of the wooden assembly so it would be backlit. The beads I backlit with LED bicycle lights I got at Lowes. The graphics, I would have just done them in Corel Draw as I did for Potemkin, and then laminated them and glued them into place with backlights behind them. Ditto the overhead panel.

thanks for the tips
with mine beeing so small I'm planning on just using photographs if I can of the panels and using a few lights here and there to brighten things up a bit
now if I only knew of where to find photographs of the display panels it makes it easier and way faster to do it

The old Star Trek Magazine had lots of nice images from time to time. Googling "Star Trek Bridge Stations" brought up a wealth of images, including some by Keiichi, over at Deviant Art, who had some spectacular pieces which we used as the inspiration for the various displays across our bridge.
