I Made Something 3D for Once! Space Probe. . . Thingie?

I mess around in Lightwave from time to time and kind of sketched this out in modeler over the course of a few hours. Nothing too exciting, started as a nacelle, became a space probe I guess.

Wondering what I should do with it and can't for the life of me figure out where to take it, so help a fella out here with some ideas maybe?

It looks like the front end of a Protoss Carrier perhaps.

Starcraft kept getting mentioned, so in the couple hours I played with it tonight I ended up making some sort of Protoss-esque ship out of it. Still needs some more detailing and possibly some more hull shapes, but this is the direction I think I'll take it from here on out.

No huge changes, added a bit to the central part, cut down the poly count a lot, starting to add some surfaces. Still haven't finished the 'bridge' area, which will come off the top front of the ring like a kind of bowed head shape to keep with this 'diving bird' look it has.

Trying to figure out what scale I want it to be too, it started out as a probe but it looks much more imposing than just a probe should be now, but the major masses of the design are a bit too far apart for them to be convenient for habitation. We'll see what happens next time I'm in a modeling mood:

Added a little module that will be a detachable landing vehicle, probably about the size of a yaught. The rest of the ship will essentially be a giant engine/weapons/sensors pod that it uses for interstellar travel.

A better one than what the CBS Digital people came up with!

The little pod in the middle could be Kara's command pod...
