I have to say that between Old Spock, nuSpock, and Sarek, I fell in love with Vulcans all over again. They struggle between emotion and logic always makes for good storytelling and can occasionally be heartbreaking.
Sarek has always been one of my favorite minor characters in all of Trek, and Ben Cross (is that his name?) did a great job in this film as well. Mark Leonard always had very subtle emotional reactions to things that you could only see if you were looking very close. This new Sarek captured that aspect of the character perfectly, I thought. Even with no emotion on his face, you could see his heart breaking when he realized that Amanda had just died.
Nimoy and Quinto's scene at the end was also fantastic and really showed how much Spock's character had evolved over the course of the last 40 years.
