I know this question has probably been

Chip

Commander
Red Shirt
asked before; but please indulge me. Does anyone know if the new Star Trek movie is going to make any reference to Enterprise? Thanks!

Well, I haven't heard anything. Neither Leonard Nimoy nor Zach Quinto mentioned it during their forum at Creation Vegas. In fact, they didn't talk about the movie plot at all.

A few days ago, we were discussing a minor rumor in the Trek XI forum that...

There might be a statue of Jonathan Archer on the grounds of Starfleet Academy.
But I don't think the veracity of it has been confirmed.

Yes, Enterprise will be referenced along with the other series. It has been confirmed in an interview with Roberto Orci at TrekMovie.com:

TrekMovie.com: You once told me that you will be putting in ‘continuity nuggets’ as little Easter eggs for the fans. Will some of those be related to the other series like TNG?

Roberto Orci: We got some TNG stuff in there for sure. I made sure of that. And there should be a little something from everything, but for me personally it is all about Next Generation and The Original Series because those are the shows that really set down the rules for Trek that the other shows picked up on. We are also trying to do a lot of what Enterprise was doing in terms of a prequel and some of the corners of Star Trek which were mainly defined by Deep Space Nine are covered to a certain degree.

TrekMovie.com: So are we talking about little references like the name of a ship, like the USS Archer in Star Trek Nemesis?

Roberto Orci: Our references are bigger than that and more pivotal to the story. But I love that little stuff too and we are doing that as well.

Chip, never feel bad about asking something. Some topics are dredged up again and again, but this one hasn't been and even it had it's nice to read. :)

^ Thanks for the info and nice Freakazoid av.

Because I can:

I've written this before, but I'm hoping for:

Kirk: "It must have been hard for you growing up...being the first Vulcan/Human hybrid- sorry- I mean child..."

Spock: "No, I'm not the first "hybrid" Lt. Kirk, the children of Captain Tucker and Ambassador T'pol are, but I am the first offspring of a Vulcan male and Human female."

With this being a remake, I wouldn't count on any references to Enterprise of any kind, or references to the other series as well.

Then you are wrong. References to the other series, including ENT will be in the film as discussed numerous times and in a direct quote upthread.

Haven't heard a peep about any throwback reference to ENTERPRISE...but it would be kind of cool to see an Academy cadet in a classroom or building named for Archer or Trip. In the Shatner novel COLLISION COURSE set around the time Kirk and Spock first enter the Academy there are buildings on the Academy grounds named for Archer as well as Trip(an engineering hall).

See it would have to be something more like

Spock: "No, I'm not the first "hybrid" Lt. Kirk, the children of Captain Rekut and Ambassador T'pol are, but I am the first offspring of a Vulcan male and Human female."

Cause Trip is under cover and presumed dead, or summit aint he?

Actually if you watch the TAS episode when spock goes back in time through the guardian of forever to save himself he says to young Spock that he has some human blood in his family and it's not fatal, and young spock doesnt seem at all surprised which leads me to beileve that spock wasn't the first v/h hybrid regardless of weather Trip T'pol have kids.
