I just figured out who Dr Helen Magnus is historically.

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
It's ludicrous how infamous her school chums were when "fiction" and popular culture never took a glancing blow ever to a veterinarian who talks to her patients...

Doctor Doolittle.

y'know...i had never considered her role before...well, that might be something!

Now that i am thinking about it..is Sanctuary turning into a Leage of Extraordinary Gentlemen (plus a lady)?

I think that is a pretty accurate description of the series.

I have been pretty impressed with the quality over the last season and a half. I also think that 13 episode seasons are just about right.

Turning?

It must have been the plan since day one.

Helen has been old since the first episode and Druid has always been the Ripper.

You're forgetting Mina.

A lady also full of Vampire blood.

Which is not anything special for a vampire to be full of.

I would have liked it more if they had had gotten Winnona to reprise the role but but I suppose Peta did a fair job considering how gawdawful everything else was... ha! The kid who played Tom Sawyer is the new Michael (The handler) on the new La Femm Nikita TV show.

The current season is (will be) 20 episodes long.

(Everything else is being cancelled! Eureka is(okay so not everything,) also 20 now instead of 13.)

They just went into hiatus for however so long before they kick off the second half.

Warehouse 13 is not cancelled either

Didn't know that. My only worry with 20 episodes is that there is the temptation to make too many "filler" installments.

But it is waving at 12 to 13 episode commitment.

I just discovered this show. I like it, it reminds me of 90's Trek. My favorite character is Henry & his crazy piercings.

Sanctuary is probably my favorite show on the channel formally known as Sci-Fi.

Nicola Tesla played by Jonathon Young

and

John Druitt played by Christopher Heyerdahl

are probably my two favorite characters on the show at the moment.

I've enjoyed seeing where the show is going, and the fact that they're building a mythology in the process.

I wasn't sure about the introduction of Kate Freelander, but the actress sold me enough to keep watching, and I've liked what the writers have done with her so far.

The only character I'm really having any issues with (and only minor ones at that) is Dr. Will Zimmerman. I'm really not seeing why Magnus picked him to be her No.2. That's not to say that we're not constantly told how Will makes connections others don't, but I haven't really seen this executed very well thus far.

Personally I'm rooting for the Big Guy. Probably the most under-appreciated character. And of course Tesla, because he's such a charming lovable a**hole. :D

The big guy is also played by Christopher Heyerdahl.

When he shares scenes with himself it's hilarious.

She's been following Zimmerman since he was a kid.

An immortal wouldn't be looking for a successor.

An immortal would take some time to vet a lover though.

But she wouldn't see a 5 year old and think about how long till she's allowed to frack that kid.

Oh.

He was for Ashley.

Gotta make sure her little bundles betrothed isn't some scummy baddy, so giving him some slack for 25 years should be a decent test of his authenticity.

I wouldn't be counting on that. Considering how much death and carnage Magnus encounters on a regular basis she's definitely aware that she could still kick the bucket at any moment.

yeah, her longevity is biological, and as such she's still susceptible to injuries and illness, but not the aging process itself
at least that's what I gather

I love Sanctuary, it's one of my favorite shows. I love how they keep bringing all these fictional historical characters.
My favorite characters are Henry, Big Guy, Tesla, and Kate.
Does anyone know how long Polly Walker is going to be on?

yeah what up with that? is he supposed to be an abnorm? why do they make such a big deal about the way he uses his "skills"?

also do they ever explain why Helen took(or abducted?) Henry?(Im watching the current season on Skiffy, plus finishing the 1st season, just ned to watch Revelations pt 2, & still have yet to watch season 2.) I hope there's a good reason for taking him away from his freakin' family!?
