I have learned a painful lesson today...

Wow. Judging by your avatar, I'm thinking its time to look into the brakes on that POS. They really should work when wet, maybe not at full efficiency, but you said you had no brakes at all. WTF?

It's not an electric scooter. It's a kick scooter, with a friction brake. I stand on the deck of the scooter with my right leg, and push myself along with my left, like a skateboard. There's a curved piece of metal over the rear wheel that I have to step on with my pushing leg in order to create enough friction on the wheel to make it slow down and eventually stop. It didn't work this time.

Here's a picture of it, standing on top of my bed since my floor's too damn messy :p

Ouch man, that sucks! We have a picture of my sister when she was like eight and fell off her bike with a face full of blood and scrapes.

And my roommate was riding her bike drunk last November and nailed a bigass mailbox! Blue paint rubbed off all over her glasses cause apparently she smashed her face right into the side, heh. She was okay though, and amazingly her glasses didn't break.
