I want you to please try to answer this question from a old tv show of Star Trek from 1966s?, how many of you all know how long the star ship is from the 1966?, but it needs to be in metric only first. As I found out the star ship from the tv show is only at this 282M long and this is not the refit star ship. You tell me why I see it over that size of the star ship. I can tell you that no one is giveing no number of what star ship it is, this is why I am dring it up here.
I do hope you all can come out with the same size.

Matt Jefferies put the length at 947 ft, which is 288.6 meters. I prefer to think it's at least ten percent bigger, so the interiors have more space for ceiling height and so forth.

Not according to TOS. Starships were different than spaceships. We've talked about this in other posts. The distinction is made in "Bread and Circuses."

It's like asking what the difference is between a boat and a ship.

Honestly, a ship like the 1701 in that era that is top of the line is it's own answer to this. Of course it stands out compared to anything else.
