Ever since her debut in Greater than the Sum, T'Ryssa Chen has grated on my nerves far beyond what a Neelix-Wesley-Okana Devil Spawn ever could. Her "hey i'm wacky and hip, and will say the darndest things" through her debut novel, to her idiot naked prancing, beer drinking, Konya humping post-Destiny antics, to all of a sudden she's a competent bridge officer capable of standing down Bateson and the Gorn in orbit of Orion. I honestly think its a conspiracy. Bennett, Mack, Ward, Leisner and Swallow all working together to see how much they can aggravate me until I throw my kindle at the wall. Then Dayton provided an analogy in a recent episode of Literary Trek's that solidified it for me. He compared her to Abby Sciuto on NCIS. Another character I loathe. So both Television and Books have now merged into one personification of a character of someone I wish would die. And not some Spock like heroic death. Give her the Rot that the Selevians get. Please Una, I love you. Jeff Lang if you see this, you are great. Please in your 2014 novels, if you don't murder her just place her on vacation throughout your books.
