I got Myriad Universes!

After reading that review of the Enterprise story I can't wait to get my copy of this book. Thanks for posting that in depth review.

You're welcome. Be sure to read the other ones in here too...I took a quick peak, and read the first two chapters of both "Places of Exile" and "Seeds of Dissent"...we get quite a treat in those too.

Wow, now I just I can get my hands on this soon, because this story sounds awsome. I'm also curious about it because it'll be my first William Leisner story. I've really enjoyed talking with him here so I'm really curious to see what he writes like.
Well, technically, I've never talked to you and this is what I write like!! :p

You know what I mean.

Okay, I've read A Less Perfect Union. I liked it, but I have one question:

Obviously after T'Pol's speech, Earth's application to join the Coalition would have been rejected. In the final scene, though, with Sarek and the Romulan Commander, I'm guessing that takes place several years *after* that. What has happened with Earth since then? The Coalition is apparently negotiating to admit *Romulus*, of all places. But what about Earth?

I want this and the local store near me has three copies. But I also want GTTS and I am hoping that will be out before I get my flight home - and I can only afford to get one more book (already bought FS and have the whole NF collection and DS9 Relaunch to transport home too) so am considering delaying getting this and putting it on the XMas list.

Wouldn't the starship being named the I.C.V Enterprise imply that Earth had joined? Or am I interjecting my feelings and thoughts into that analysis?

I finished Infinity's Prism yesterday, and it was one of the best reads I've had this year. Part of the attraction was the answering of the "what-if" questions, definitely.

All of the stories had slightly dark undertones, which fit in with the alternate realities aspect of everything. I have to thank Mr. Swallow for the chillingly good Seeds of Dissent, which was a nice flip on Space Seed and the Eugenics War.

Places of Exile, in an odd way, made me almost wish that this reality depicted had occurred, considering how things ultimately turned out in the Alpha Quadrant.

A Less Perfect Union was what I call a "dream deferred" story (taken from Langston Hughes's poem Harlem). The reality was bittersweet, and the story did leave some questions open.

(I'll be posting a more in-depth review later)

I didn't get that impression. It seemed like a coincidence.

The Romulan's right eyebrow arched upward in surprise. "A coincidence, no doubt," he observed, since such a symbolic gesture would be completely illogical. Sarek offered no answer, though his small smile had almost imperceptibly widened.

I felt the same way when reading the second last paragraph of the story. That reality turned out a lot better than the established "main" reality in some ways and not so good in others. I enjoyed that one the most out of the three stories.

Yeah, that was what I was going for. I didn't want it to seem like I was saying "My way is better than what happened," since that would've been self-indulgent.

Thank you!

"Perhaps you have heard Russian epic of Cinderella? If shoe fits, wear it!"
