I found young Kirk

Shawn Pyfrom from Desperate Housewives. He's only 21 (tomorrow), but he's got the attitude and the Shatner smirk down pat. If you've ever seen him on DH, you know he's a scene stealer. You can't take your eyes off of him when he's onscreen. He could handle this part.

He's got a very long filmography for someone so young. IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0701457/

Take a look at these pics side-by-side and you'll agree, this guy looks just like a young Shatner.

Cause you're trying to hotlink IMDB pages, those aren't images. And you aren't allowed to hotlink anyways.

I vote no in any case, he looks like your standard so-cal highschool kid.
 
Height doesn't matter. Look how many different ways Michael J. Fox and Al Pacino have been made to look the same height as their co-stars. Or Michael Clarke Duncan being made to look huge in The Green Mile.
 
I agree that the resemblance is uncanny. Making a twenty-something look like a thirty-something... shouldn't be impossible either.
 
Mmm, he looks too young. He should look closer to 30 - he's going to have to seem like he's around the same age as Zach Quinto, not ten years younger. Plus even in ten years he wouldn't be a good match. The shape of his face and nose are wrong.

He is too short 5' 6" (1.69 m). Kirk need to be between 5,10-6,1 tall.

The casting sheet just says six-foot or under. However, the guy needs not to look like a shrimp next to Zach Quinto, who is either 6'2" or 6'4" depending on who you believe. Below 5'10", it's just gonna start to look weird.
 
Without being strange about it, the young Kirk has to be attractive to the original Trek audience. He mustn't look young enough to be our teenage son! This lad does!!!

No, it's not impossible; but forget about 30's, this actor looks like he's in his 20's the same way March 21st looks like spring.

I see absolutely no resemblance other than being umm. . . white and in decent athletic shape?
