I don't see Nimoy footage in The Captains

Adam claims to know why Leonard avoided talking to Bill at the end but doesn't say it. Julie, on the other hand, reassured Bill that her dad had a lot of love for Bill. If Adam knows something, or if Susan knows why, they should call Bill up and say it. This whole "I know why but won't tell him" game is just mean. We don't have to know.

On Piers Morgan's interview, Leonard just said something like Bill's busy and we aren't friends like that anymore, IIRC. But in his online visits to conventions, he references Bill and talks about Bill stealing Dee's English muffins on the set. He jokes about "Mr. Shatner thinks he's funny, but he's not" about his pranks.

I just think that Leonard only had so much energy at the end. If he was anything like my mother-in-law, who also died of complications of COPD, talking on the phone, walking, visiting, etc. was not possible. Basically, you are deciding whether to eat or breathe. My mother-in-law weighed 60 pounds when she died. We hired an eating coach because she was not eating. Unfortunately it was too late as she died a few days later. It's really a terrible way to die. She went to rehab because she wouldn't go into hospice. I wish she could have had Leonard's death with family around her because she died alone.

Really? I did not hear this. I can't believe it, yet, of course, I can. Do you have sources on this out of curiosity?

I despise people who insist on imposing their beliefs -- whatever they they may be -- on others DURING A FUNERAL. The lowest of the low.

You could argue that regardless of the relationship between the two men, muckraker tabloids would have milked it for "Kirk Attends Spock's Funeral-- for Real This Time " headlines if Shatner HAD attended. Talk about Klingon bastards.

Thanks for that @Denise -- when Leonard passed, I was coping with the unexpected loss of my own father just a few months prior. We were extremely close. Those weeks & months remain a blur for me. I remember getting a call from an old high school friend who knew I was Trekkie to tell me the news-- but it just didn't register, didn't stick with me at all at that moment. I had bigger issues in front of me.

Still, those WBC people need to take a one way rocket to another galaxy or something. Probably couldn't find Nimoy's church service because the man did not attend a church! Idiots among us.
