Wild hair flew up my ass and I decided to buy a new TV. So I went out and bought a 46", 600Hz HD Plasma TV. :squeee: It's so purty. A significant "trade up" from my 8-year-old 42" RP HDTV which was sold to my brother's father-in-law for $50.

The only "complaint" I have about this TV is that the on-board speakers for it are on the bottom of it pointed down so this causes some acoustical oddities when watching it. To get around that, I guess, I'm going to have to buy one of those plug-in "sound bar" things. But otherwise the TV is beautiful and I've now got my BD player hooked up to via.

H... D... M... I!!!!!! Oohhhhhhh.

I could lean into this thing now and lick Sigourney Weaver's avatar's taut tummy right now if I wanted to.

I'm still using just a 27" CRT TV :(

I so want to upgrade

Congrats, I really want an LED LCD TV, but alas I cannot afford it, I'm going to have to settle on something like a 37" LCD TV, being poor sucks!

Have fun

rejoice, brother, for the market has landed teh 3D LED LCD TV and its coming coincides with the Soccer World Cup! TV retailers will surely drop the prices for mere LED TVs...

You decided the 42" TV wasn't big enough, so you upgraded to a 46"? I'm so jealous, we only have a 29" CRT here :(

Nah, the 42" was fine. I just wanted a TV with better technology and at the same time went bigger. (That's what she said!)

I bought one of those "sound bar" things. Sort-of corrects the sound issues but my damn TV doesn't have an RCA audio out connectors on it (I intended to just run my TV outs into the first input on the bar so that I didn't have to mess with the input controls on the sound bar whenever I switch devices) so, alas. I've got one more device I have to fiddle with when I switch between the DVD player and the cable box. (Apparently there's no code or whatever to program my universal remote to control the sound bar.)
