Hustle Series 6

Bob The Skutter

Complete Arse Cleft
In Memoriam
Just a reminder for anyone who's interested, series 6 of Hustle starts tonight at 9 on BBC One and HD.

From BBC One

The Hustle gang are back in business, ready to take each and every cheat, liar or criminal for all they've got. From MPs' expenses to fat-cat bankers, there are plenty of marks for the team to target.

Just as the team are finishing with one genius con where Emma is posing as pop princess Kylie, Albert is out finding and priming the next unsuspecting mark - ex-banker Piggy Richardson who has been hounded by the press after a very public pension scandal.
When Albert introduces himself as a head hunter for the Western Bank of California and paints a very pleasant picture of what his new life could be like, away from the glare of the media, Piggy is keen to meet Mickey - a currency specialist with a PHD in economics.

However, just as the plan starts to fall into place, a mysterious woman enquires about Mickey's whereabouts and throws their plan into disarray. Mickey hasn't got a clue who she is or what she wants but when she invites him out for dinner, he's intrigued. That is until the mystery lady turns out to be the beautiful, DCI Lucy Britford. She has a 95% conviction rate and is well aware of what Mickey and the crew are up to and catching Mickey would be the ultimate scalp and a great stepping stone in her career. Emma is the only one who seems worried, but is this jealousy due to another woman getting Mickey's attention, or genuine concern?
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Mickey is certain that he can outsmart Britford, after all, no one's managed to catch him yet! So with the agreement of the team he decides to continue with the con. Mickey's confidence has so far served the team well, but will his arrogance be the undoing of the con and his crew?
I was starting to lose interest in series 4, it was a bit rubbish, but series 5 was an improvement so I'll give it a go.

I think i will give it ago.
Its Linda la Plante on the other side and i have gone off her after what she said the other day.

Her rant about if she were a little Muslim boy the BBC would give her more work?
I like how the BBCs response was to say they had had 2 of her scripts in development in the last year, but one wasn't quite what they were looking for. Just made her look like she was talking shit.

Also i love how they paid her in full for the work they did not use.
I remember Charlie Brooker saying no matter which TV channel you go to it takes ages to get something on screen and you have to see lots of different people before you get the go ahead.

And that stuff about they fear her because she's a strong independent... Isn't a majority of the BBCs output from independents nowadays. Sounds like she's pissed off they didn't like one of her scripts and wanted to bitch.

Well after reading the comments on the Daily Mail web site i can now see she has a new BNP fan base.

OMG!!!....Hustle's back tommorrow night!!

I'm jumping on this series having only seen bits and pieces from series past. Why I never watched properly is a mystery for the ages. Looking forward to it!

Well I liked it. Nothing really new or particularly inventive, and I saw the con within the con coming a mile away, but it was fun, the cast continue to be exellent, and I was drooling a lot at the DCI...That is Suzy from Torchwood isn't it?

this DCI whilst good, could soon become tedious if she isnt written well. Still I very much enjoyed the episode.

Yep, it is her.

I'm won over. That wasn't too difficult :D I saw the con coming a mile away as well, but it that sort of thing doesn't bother me so long as it's executed well.

yes was pretty clear they switched the cases before the police showed up, hate to say it but I missed that they were pretending to be the police.
