Star Trek has had some interesting intersections with real life. And sometimes, when one of them makes main-stream media, it makes TREKDOME look silly.
The chic who went to Jury duty in her Star Fleet outfit?? I remember catching so much flack for that when that happened. Would have helped our cause if she had looked like a Victoria Secret model.
Or with those whackos here my hometown of SAN DIEGO killed themselves so as they could fly off and become one with that comet. One of them was Nichelle's brother I think. But that was the headline. TREK star's brother part of cult....
