Is a legal way to watch hulu in canada,,"hotspot shield" used to work. i dont know if it was legal. any ideas?

It is not necessarily "legal" for you to circumvent Hulu's geofencing, however it's not like they are going to hunt you down for it. At best, it's probably in a gray area.

Using some kind of proxy system is the best way to go, unless you have a way to set up a VPN based in the US.

ETA: Check out this article. The shows you want to watch may actually be shown on Canadian websites, too, so no proxying would be required.

Glad to help. You Canadians got me through to the end of Defying Gravity, and I thank you for that. :)

After over a year of telling people to visit sites like Hulu.com, but that they may not be able to view it ouside the U.S., I finally got to feel what it's like on the other end of that; I visisted ITV to try to watch some of "Murderland", and it said I was about their country. Damnit :p

Hulu and ITV are apparently doing a deal, but I think that's for them to start a UK version of Hulu with UK shows, rather than show UK shows in the US.
